Labuan - Sugar Shortage

Since end of June until the day I write this post (about 3 weeks) people in Labuan experience shortage of sugar. As Labuan 100% importing stock from mainland Sabah this is one of the situation that the people here should face.

Anyway we learn how to control sugar intake. One of good diet!

Journey Labuan - Labuan Marine Park

Journey to Labuan also promise the excitement for the divers. Here, Labuan Marine Park is located 2 kilometers off the southern part of Labuan main island. Beautiful and wild, the park encompasses 10 square kilometers of pristine water and three secluded islets, namely Pulau Kuraman, Pulau Rusukan kecil and Pulau Rusukan Besar.

Those island also is a popular day-trip gateway for locals as well as visitors from Brunei It features sparkling blue waters, rich marine life and beautiful landscaping.

Journey Labuan - Tanjung Kubong Coal Mining

Here another interesting of journey to Labuan. The north end of the island stands 'The Chimney'. If any stucture symbolises Labuan as The Eifal Tower symbolises paris, or statue of liberty, New York, this has to be it.

Located at Tanjung Kubong, here an expensive network of underground tunnels and deep wells, legacy of coal mining in 18th century Labuan. For 64 years it is operatad by British companies. Series of accidents led to the closure of the mine in 1911.

As I am staying here, One of my favorite place for relaxing, jogging and sightseeing is Botanical Garden. I think during your journey to Labuan, here is one of must visit place.

Located behind the old airport is the Botanical Garden which formerly the site of Government House, locally known by bumbung 12. Botanical Garden is now a recreational park with beutiful landscape.
